Polar news: Si8000  Si9000 2016 / New application note / Dates for your diary / Atlas Delta-L

1.  Si8000m, Si9000e include two new broadside-over-prepreg structures and eight new differential-without-ground structures. Plus causal substrate modelling now accessible from the main interface and further enhancements to the causal substrate modelling options. Please note news item 4. As these releases also deliver a fix to a known vulnerability in Flexnet publisher you should plan this upgrade and allow time for installation – especially if you have a floating
or portable license.

4. FlexNet Publisher vulnerability fixed (all Polar 2016 software). Flexera inform us of a vulnerability with versions of FlexNet Publisher prior to 11.13  All Polar 2016 releases deliver a fix for this known vulnerability. Please note that ALL Polar software from 2016 onwards delivers 11.13 or higher – and that the increased security means that you should reserve extra time for the installation.  We have pre released to a significant number of early adopters and detailed instructions for installation are available from:

5. Application note “Modeling Delta-L insertion loss measurements with Si9000e” this note explains  how to obtain the best correlation between Si9000e and not only Delta-L but all the popular methods of insertion loss measurement.
